Loon Lodge Inn and Restaurant on the easterly shore of Rangeley Lake is ideally situated for our guests to enjoy spectacular sunsets. The lodge, built in 1899, has been meticulously restored. We offer cozy guest rooms, fine dining, and pub fare in The Pickford Pub. Plan your wedding, family reunion, or other events at The Loon Lodge. We’ll help you plan every part of your indoor or outdoor event. Rangeley, Maine, is a four-season resort town. People visit to ride ATVs or go hiking in Spring, Summer, and Fall. Fall colors in the Rangeley Lakes Region put on a show every foliage season. Summers are also for boating, fishing, and relaxing lakeside in the evenings. And Rangeley is a winter playground! Rangeley is renowned for its 170 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Skiing and snowboarding flock to Saddleback Mountain. Make sure to ask about our Saddleback ski-and-stay packages. Or take in our spectacular outdoors, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. Whether you’re staying at The Loon Lodge or joining us for dinner, you’ll enjoy the whole Rangeley experience. In summer, come by car or boat. Multiple boat slips on Rangeley Lake allow Lodge guests and dining patrons to dock from Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day Weekend. Winter-time snow provides snowmobile access to the Lodge, and the new, expanded parking area now accommodates snowmobile trailers for Lodge guests. Warm by the fire with a hot chocolate or cocktail after a day of skiing and riding at Saddleback. Stay with us for a night, a week or join us for dinner. You’ll find our warm inviting décor, expansive grounds and private function rooms are perfect for family reunions, retreats and weddings. "The Loon Lodge dining experience surpassed all expectations! My husband and I split an order of the lamb chops and the mushroom risotto,
and both were fantastic.
The lamb chops were seasoned and cooked to perfection and came with an incredibly flavorful mint sauce that complemented the meat so well. The veggies were also delicious (likely coated in butter) and I appreciated the spices chosen to season the carrots.
The risotto was creamy and the right texture. I appreciated the assortment of mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach cooked into it.
Finally, we ended on a slice of key lime pie (also perfect)! And shared a warm chocolate bread pudding with his sister and her husband.
(Pro tip: ask for vanilla ice cream with the chocolate bread pudding instead of the default chocolate).
Service was also A+! The server made us feel really welcome and she did a great job accommodating our 4-year-old nephew and 2-year-old niece."

This was a Phenomenal staycation. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was five star quality. In speaking with the chef we told him how wonderful the food was, his first response was giving credit to all of the kitchen staff. He said he had phenomenal kitchen staff and could not do it without them. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The view from our room was spectacular, looking right out of window to Rangeley Lake.
When we spoke with the manager, I told her how well-run the lodge seemed. Again her first response was giving all of the credit to the staff. My wife and I have not had a vacation for quite a while and could not have asked for a better experience. There are many things to do and places to go. My wife and I do want to recognize our bartender and server Mercedes. My wife says she was incredible and I agree. Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff that made our vacation so memorable.

We had a great stay at Loon Lodge Inn. The room was cozy & clean. The staff is friendly, conscientious & TEAM oriented (wonderful to see them all having each others' back when it got busy). The location is ideal for a weekend of Saddleback skiing...(or snow-sledding or whatever floats your boat)!
